ABOUT MIRA SCIRICA

Mira Scirica is a New York based makeup artist and licensed cosmetologist born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She found her love for all things makeup and beauty at a young age and after graduating high school she dove head first into the industry. As a child she loved to paint and draw and slowly began to incorporate those same skills on faces to create intricate and detailed characters. She would experiment with different styles of makeup and colors just like painting to teach herself more about what worked with her face and what didn't, she yearned to know more and continued to teach herself new techniques and styles throughout the years.

 

 After attending Aveda Institute Chapel Hill to receive her cosmetology license she decided to relocate to New York City where she attended the Makeup Designory (MUD), completing the master's program. It was during this intensive training that she designed makeup for a series of beauty and fashion photoshoots and designed a range of characters. As a licensed professional Mira Scirica has worked in multiple areas of the beauty industry as a makeup artist, hair stylist, esthetician, and beauty consultant over the past years in the industry.

She looks forward to evolving and refining her art and designing more intricate and magical characters. She continues to seek out those opportunities to bring to life characters and inspire others in the same way she was inspired while making people their most empowered and beautiful selves or in the case of her special effects work, their scariest selves. Makeup is an extremely powerful and expressive tool that she believes can be truly a transformative thing both physically and mentally to truly become whoever you would like to be when you leave her chair.
